Looking at the huge worldwide problem created by plastic and also thermocol to endanger the environment, the plants, and animals and even marine life, we searched for alternatives to plastic and thermocol and in our quest for a good environment friendly, and biodegradable product, we found Areca leaf sheath, which was already in use by many units to make plates.

Areca plant is a nut producing plant which produces the areca nut which is mainly used in mouth fresheners and betel leaves. The plant also produces leaves which fall off the plant after some time, these leafs are very big in size and very sturdy.

The areca nut is the seed of the areca palm (Areca catechu), which grows in much of the tropical Pacific (Melanesia and Micronesia), Southeast and South Asia, and parts of east Africa. It is commonly referred to as betel nut, not to be confused with betel (Piper betle) leaves that are often used to wrap it (a preparation known as paan). The term areca originated from the Malayalam word aḍaykka and dates from the 16th century, when Dutch and Portuguese sailors took the nut from Kerala to Europe.
